Doritos Cool Ranch and ANY kind of Pringles had no<br />

<p>Do you know how many empty calories those pieces of<br />
air are?</p>
<p>Even worse, in an article I came across the makers of<br />
Pringles were attempting to avoid paying taxes in the<br />
UK. The judge in the case wound up ruling the crisps<br />
didn&#8217;t qualify as potato chips because it lacked the<br />
necessary ingredients. Their manufactuerer avoided<br />
paying the taxes because it&#8217;s not considered food!</p>

were ginger beef and thai chicken (so Thai isn&#8217;t Chinese but it&#8217;s always in those buffets).</p>

4. Cover the skillet, turn the heat to low, and let the whole thing simmer until liquids<br />

With the summer months coming I focus a lot on getting our clients fitter, faster. Through the ebb and flow of the year we focus on different things like strength and power, endurance and aerobic capacity or fat loss and muscle gain. This cycling of training protocols is called periodization.You&#8217;ll hear P90x pundits call this muscle confusion. Us old dudes have been doing &#8220;muscle confusion&#8221; a lot longer than this program and it&#8217;s claim to fame. The true and technical term is periodization and it&#8217;s mandatory for a number of reasons in any program.</p>

<div>We generally focus on 4 week cycles in each period with 1 main focus (like strength) and a secondary focus (like metabolic conditioning or work capacity). This month we are going to do a hybrid or combo type of workouts that rotates every other week. So this period will be an 8 week period, but the focus and exercises will change every other week. For example, week 1, 3, 5, and 7 will be strength and work capacity. Week 2, 4, 6 and 8 will be Metabolic Conditioning and Metabolic Resistance Training circuits.</div>

Your body needs to adapt to a workout just long enough to get the soft tissue benefits (ligaments and tendons take so much longer to build strength and stability compared to your muscles). You will also noticed a significant improvement in those movements as the body builds strength and activates neuro-muscular pathways (what we see as coordination).</p>
<p>Now you shouldn&#8217;t do a given set of workouts longer than 4-6 weeks or that adaptation happens to well and you will plateau. This is where you&#8230; bare with me as I laugh out loud typing this&#8230; confuse your muscles by changing a degree of variables in your training. 1. Speed Deadlifts 4x<br />
1b. Hang Cleans 3x<br />
1c. Thrusters 2xGo as HEAVY as possible, but keep form and explosiveness through out the lifts. If you get fatigued rapidly drop the weight and proceed. This one should be done after you strength training. Use it as a conditioning and work capacity circuit. Warning, it&#8217;s a tough one if you pick the right weight.</p>

Many times I get hyper busy on monday so I float my workout to wednesday. I still follow my workouts at least 5 times a week with 2 days of non-consecutive days rest.</p>

<div>jumping jacks, mountain climbers, or squat thrusts) with 10 seconds of rest</div>
<div>between rounds.</div>

<div><strong>Group C:</strong> did nothing (they were the non-training control group).</div>
<div></div>
<p></p>
<div><strong>Results: </strong>Both training groups increased their aerobic fitness</div>
<div>levels by the SAME amount (about 7-8%).</div>

<div>That&#8217;s right, the short workout finishers (of ONLY 4 minutes)</div>
